Žigljen cheese from maraska pomace is a premium specialty that brings tradition and innovation together. Inspired by old methods, our cheesemakers immerse the cheese in maraska pomace, known for its rich aroma, which gives the cheese a special natural moisture and the unique notes of the autochthonous Zadar maraska cherry. This refinement process allows the cheese to develop an intense aroma and a compact texture.
Žigljen, a blend of cow's and sheep's milk from Dalmatia, Lika and Kordun, matures for 4-12 months and becomes even richer after refinement in maraska pomace. The result is a gourmet treat with a pronounced aroma and a special texture.
This unique cheese is excellent for all lovers of cheeses with character, and it's at its best when stored at 4-16 °C.

Težački Cheese Superior
Težački cheese is a unique hard cheese made from 100% cow's milk that we buy from our partners in the Rakovica area, where the cows graze on the fields near the Plitvice Lakes. The animals are kept on pasture, and the untouched nature of this area directly affects the quality and aroma of the cheese.
Inspired by the simplicity and tradition of a "težački" (farmer's) life, this cheese is the result of a desire to keep a primal, natural cheese production. Though a newer member of the Gligora cheese family, it very quickly gained popularity and became one of the best-selling.
The production of Težački cheese is based on a simple but reliable technology that Ivan Gligora perfected through the Kolan cheese, while Šime Gligora wanted to bring the process even closer to more authentic, natural methods. On the label of this cheese is a portrait of Šime's maternal grandfather, Jure Šmit, the first "težak" (farm worker) Šime ever met.
Težački cheese is distinguished by a rich aroma and a firm texture. It matures for between 2 and 6 months, and with its balanced flavour and the simplicity of its daily production it has won numerous top awards at both domestic and international markets.
