Težački cheese is a unique hard cheese made from 100% cow's milk that we buy from our partners in the Rakovica area, where the cows graze on the fields near the Plitvice Lakes. The animals are kept on pasture, and the untouched nature of this area directly affects the quality and aroma of the cheese. Inspired by the simplicity and tradition of a "težački" (farmer's) life, this cheese is the result of a desire to keep a primal, natural cheese production. Though a newer member of the Gligora cheese family, it very quickly gained popularity and became one of the best-selling.
