Product description

The grapes used to produce Plavac Mali Primus come from the best vineyard sites in the Komarna wine region, known for its ecological vineyards and terroir that imparts exceptional acidity, freshness, and aging potential to the wines.

The vineyards are situated on southern slopes in rocky soil with a low content of earth, allowing for the concentration of flavor and freshness. Plavac Mali in this region gives low quantities, resulting in extremely high-quality grapes. The wine is made from hand-picked grapes, carefully selected, and fermented under controlled conditions. It then matures for 12 months in new barrique barrels made of French and American oak. After bottling, the wine ages for another 6 months before being released for sale.

Primus Plavac Mali has a ruby red color with hints of garnet, and carries attractive aromas of ripe dark fruit, raisins, plums, and wild herbs. It has a full-bodied taste, firm structure, and its freshness makes it an excellent choice to pair with meat dishes, pizza, or pasta with rich sauces.
