Pag cheese is our most famous and awarded delicacy. This cheese, protected by the PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) label, symbolizes the top quality of Sirana Gligora, and is also the most prestigious Croatian cheese, with numerous international awards. Pag cheese was the first to bring international recognition to Croatian cheeses and is today recognized as an authentic specialty from the island of Pag.

This cheese is made exclusively from sheep milk from the island of Pag, and the annual production in all registered dairies and family farms on the island does not exceed 200 tons, making it a rare product. Paški cheese is a limited product because it depends on the number of sheep grazing freely on the pastures of the island.

In addition to milk from its own small flock, Sirana Gligora daily purchases milk from hundreds of families on the island during the milking season, which lasts from January to the end of June.

It is produced using traditional methods according to the specifications set by the Pag Cheese Makers Association, and it is protected by the PDO label, guaranteeing its uniqueness and exceptional flavor.

Note: Cheeses ordered through our webshop are carefully packed and shipped in cardboard packaging, with thermo packaging used during the summer months. All cheeses are vacuum-sealed (whole wheel, half, or quarter) to preserve their freshness.
