Product description

Kozlar Cheese is a Gligora classic, created in 2000 as the first cheese made from 100% goat milk sourced from northern Dalmatia. Inspired by the name of the Kozlar area in the village of Kolan, Kozlar represents a blend of tradition and innovation in cheesemaking. This semi-hard cheese, aged 1-2 months, boasts a mild and pleasant aroma, a light, juicy texture, and reflects the quality of milk from small local farms. It is perfect as a light snack, in salads, or paired with a glass of wine.

Kozlar was a pioneering project by Ivan Gligora, who introduced Dalmatian goat milk into the production of premium cheeses. Its tradition continues to this day, with affinage versions also available, which have frequently been awarded at international competitions. Kozlar is the runner-up at the Global Cheese Awards held in Frome, UK in 2021.

Storage: 4-12 °C

Note: Cheeses ordered via the webshop are shipped by courier service in cardboard packaging, and during summer months in thermal packaging. All cheeses are vacuum-sealed (whole wheel, half, or quarter).
