Dinarski Cheese, crafted in 2009, stands as one of Gligora’s oldest and most cherished creations. This hard cheese is made from a perfect blend of cow’s and goat’s milk (min. 25%) sourced from the lush pastures of Dalmatian hinterlands. Named after Dinara, the tallest mountain in Dalmatia, this cheese embodies the richness and authenticity of our region.
Dinarski Cheese, aged 3-6 months, boasts an exceptional aroma and a mildly spicy, nutty flavor that captivates instantly. Its texture is compact yet juicy, making it an ideal choice for cheese enthusiasts seeking distinctive flavors. In addition to the standard version, the extra-aged variant of Dinarski Cheese is highly praised for its deeper and more intense taste profile.
This cheese is a proud winner of multiple awards, including two trophies from the World Cheese Awards and the title of runner-up at the WCA 2014 in London – making it our most awarded cheese after Pag Cheese.
Storage conditions: 4-16 °C; 75-80% humidity
Note: Cheeses ordered through the webshop are shipped via delivery service in cardboard packaging, with thermal packaging during summer months. All cheeses are vacuum-sealed (whole wheel, half, or quarter).
