Product description

Camembert is a cheese with a long tradition that dates back to the 18th century in a Norman village, where it was first produced by Marie Harel. This famous French cheese is recognized by its thin rind covered with white noble mold, while the paste is soft, light yellow, and full of fruity, woody flavors.

Real Camembert is made from raw milk and carefully matured to the core. Its rind is velvety, with distinctive red pigments, and the interior has a rich, delicate flavor that reflects its matured structure. During its production, Camembert is packaged in a way that preserves its freshness – the thin wooden boxes that have made it famous worldwide.

After gaining popularity in France, Camembert became beloved in many countries. The true history of Camembert begins in Normandy, and interestingly, Thomas Paynel, a descendant of Marie Harel, offered the cheese to Napoleon III, who loved it so much that he declared Paynel an imperial supplier. Its unique, soft character and complex flavors make it the perfect addition to a cheese platter, and enjoying it at room temperature allows its aromas to fully develop.
