Product description

Note: cheeses ordered through the webshop are sent by delivery service, in cardboard packaging, in summer months in thermal packaging. All cheeses are vacuum packed (whole wheel, half or quarter).

Žigljen cheese is a mixed cheese made from cow's and sheep's milk from Dalmatia, matured in olive pomace.

As always, we try to combine the best - in this case cheese from cow's and sheep's milk and local olives from the Lunjski olive groves on the island of Pag!

This cheese is aged for 4 months or more, with the fact that it gets its special aroma precisely by ripening in the olive pomace, which gives it a more special, stronger taste and creates a dark color of the rind that comes from the color of the olive pomace
