A monovarietal olive oil from an old, indigenous Istrian olive variety, it is one of the most prized Croatian olive oils. The oil ranges in color from light green to golden yellow, with an intense fruity flavor and aroma of olive leaves, aromatic herbs, artichoke, almonds, tomatoes, and apples, with a pleasant balance of bitterness and spiciness.

It is an excellent addition to fresh raw foods such as blue fish, tuna, salmon, and red meat, as well as traditional Mediterranean dishes. It is also recommended as a condiment for grilled seasonal vegetables, mushrooms, and seafood risottos.
