Product description

Gligora Shepherd's Cottage contains four top-tier, award-winning cheeses from Sirana Gligora, each with a rich tradition and authentic flavors.

Pag cheese (PDO) - This iconic cheese made from 100% sheep's milk comes from the island of Pag and is protected by the PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) label. It is known for its intense aroma and rich flavor, developed through the unique grazing vegetation and the salt carried by the bora wind. Aged for 6 to 12 months, it symbolizes the tradition of Pag.

Kolan - Kolan is a cheese made from 100% cow's milk, aged for a minimum of 4 months. With its distinctive aromas, Kolan has become a symbol of quality and tradition at Sirana Gligora. Inspired by Trappists, the label features the Church of St. Jerome in Kolan Field. Kolan is one of the most famous hard cow's milk cheeses in Croatia.

Kozlar - Made from 100% goat's milk from Dalmatia, aged for 1 to 2 months, Kozlar is a semi-hard cheese with mild and pleasant aromas. It is produced exclusively from goat's milk from northern Dalmatia and is known for its award-winning varieties, especially in the aging process. The name "Kozlar" comes from a part of the village of Kolan with the same name.

Žigljen - Žigljen is a blend of cow's and sheep's milk, aged for 3 to 6 months. The cheese has a pronounced aroma and is inspired by the tradition of cheese production on the island of Pag. Žigljen was one of the first cheeses to combine Pag's sheep's milk with cow's milk, and it quickly became popular and award-winning in international competitions.
