The finished product is obtained by drying a boneless pork belly. The product has a classic bacon shape and a medium-firm, elastic consistency. The meat is extremely red when ripe, and the fatty tissue is white. The bites are extremely juicy and tender for this type of product due to the origin of the basic raw material. The smell is characteristic of permanently dried smoked meat, and the taste is slightly salty and putrid.
