Marko Polo extra virgin olive oil is obtained directly from the fruit of the olive through exclusively mechanical procedures, from selected varieties of olives from the western part of the island of Korčula - swallowtail, crumbly and oblica in proportions that achieve a recognizable smell, taste and color. The ideal ratio of these varieties, the degree of ripeness, the method of harvesting and storage give this oil a rich and full taste, a distinctive smell and an intense green-golden color.
The special features of Marko Polo extra virgin olive oil are its pronounced fruity taste, mild spiciness and moderate bitterness. The largest part of the oil is obtained from the swallowtail variety, which is rich in polyphenols, natural antioxidants that protect the oil from autooxidative changes, i.e. accelerated aging and spoilage. Also, Marko Polo extra virgin olive oil is a rich source of vitamin E and has numerous positive effects on our body.
Marko Polo olive oil is a quality domestic product and holder of the Croatian Island Product and Original Croatian label.
